PRIVACY POLICY

Because Beyond Service spans a website, a game, digital and physical comics, and a merch store, the categories of data we may collect include:

a) Information you give us directly

• Account information: username, email address, password (stored securely, never in plain text), date of birth, and optionally a display name or avatar.
• Purchase and payment information: billing name, shipping address, order history, and payment confirmation details. Full card numbers are handled by our payment processor (see Section 5) — we do not store complete card numbers on our own servers.
• Comics library data: which issues you've purchased, unlocked, or read, and your reading progress.
• Communications: messages you send us via support, email, social media, or community channels; survey responses; feedback.
• User-generated content: anything you post in forums, chat, leaderboards, or community features, if and when these exist.

b) Information collected automatically

• Device and technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, general location (derived from IP).
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, session length, in-game actions, progression, rank, PvP match history, and similar gameplay telemetry.
• Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 6.

c) Information from third parties

• If you sign in or link an account through a third-party platform (e.g., Google, Apple, a console/store account, or a payment provider), we may receive basic profile information from that platform, subject to your settings with them.

d) In-game economy data (if applicable)

• If the Services include virtual currency, items, or a wallet system, we collect data related to your balances, transactions, and item history within the game.

We try to collect only what's needed to run Beyond Service well. If a specific feature (like the merch store) isn't live yet, we won't collect the data tied to it until it is.

We use the information above to:

• Create and manage your account
• Process purchases, deliver digital comics, and ship physical orders
• Operate core gameplay: matchmaking, progression, rankings, and anti-cheat/anti-fraud systems
• Sync your comics library and reading progress across devices
• Provide customer support and respond to your requests
• Send you service-related communications (order confirmations, security alerts, account notices)
• Send optional marketing or community updates, only where you've opted in or where local law allows it
• Improve and debug the Services, understand how features are used, and balance gameplay
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, cheating, abuse, or security incidents
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We share information only as needed, with:

• Payment processors (e.g., [Paystack / Flutterwave / Stripe — confirm which]) to process purchases. They receive the payment details necessary to complete your transaction under their own privacy and security standards.
• Hosting, infrastructure, and analytics providers who help us run the website, game servers, and comics platform.
• Shipping and fulfillment partners, for physical comics and merch orders — this typically includes your name and shipping address.
• Comics platform/e-reader providers, if we use a third-party service to power the digital reading experience.
• Law enforcement or regulators, if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users or the integrity of the Services.
• A successor entity, if Goondu is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale — you'll be notified if your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

We do not share your data with third parties for their independent advertising purposes without your consent.

We use cookies and similar technologies (like local storage) to:

• Keep you logged in
• Remember preferences (like display settings)
• Understand how the Services are used, in aggregate
• Support essential security features

Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies (such as analytics or marketing cookies), and give you a way to manage your preferences. You can also control cookies through your browser settings.

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active, or as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain certain records (e.g., transaction records for tax or legal purposes).

Beyond Service features fantasy violence and mature mythological themes, but we recognize the Services may attract a range of ages, including players under 13 (or under 16, depending on jurisdiction).

• We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable age of consent without appropriate parental or guardian consent.
• Where we become aware that a child has provided personal information without the required consent, we will take steps to delete that information.
• We do not knowingly serve targeted advertising to children.
• Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided us with personal information without consent can contact us at privacy@goondugames.com to request review or deletion.

If you are a parent/guardian and want to review, correct, or delete your child's information, or refuse further collection, please reach out using the contact details in Section 12.
